Emergency Response Fire & Rescue

Upgrading the fire and rescue sector to build a safer Sri Lanka, while equipping the community with the necessary facilities to ensure disaster risk management is controlled.

Through our Emergency Response Fire & Rescue projects, Foresight Engineering was able to build several fire stations and disaster communication systems in urban and rural areas of Sri Lanka. A Special Response Unit with nineteen fire/rescue vehicles and equipment were established in Colombo during the first phase, along with the upgrading of ten fire stations and seventy-one fire/rescue vehicles in urban areas. In addition, fire officers and administrative officials were trained internationally.

Fire stations were upgraded in urban and rural areas, early warning towers and emergency communication centres were installed, and the Disaster Management Centre was provided with modern equipment and machinery.
